
Ladisa Onyiliogwu - Director
A native of Greensboro, North Carolina, Ladisa Robinson Onyiliogwu began training in Ballet, Tap, and Jazz at the early age of three years old with the Curtis Holt Dance School. After studying with the John Phillips School of Dance from 1986-1989, she took a sabbatical from dancing until college. During her matriculation at Clark Atlanta University, Ladisa was a member of the CAU Dance Team which performed at athletic as well as local events. She later joined the Spelman Dance Theater during her senior year where she was able to expand her skills in choreography. As a member of the Spelman Dance Theater, Ladisa was able to perform in the Morehouse Glee Club Christmas program which aired nationally on PBS.
Ladisa continued her training at Rotaru International Ballet after college. She began teaching in 1996 with Jacob’s Outreach Dance Program. Ladisa continued teaching at various dance studios and training church dance ministries until creating A David Dance Company in 2003.
As director, she has developed a junior company and senior professional dance troupe that performs throughout metro Atlanta. She has choreographed numerous works. One of her most recent works was featured on Fox 5 Atlanta Live in December 2010 and performed by the students of ADDC. She is the proud wife of Ike Onyiliogwu, mother of Autumn Kimani Fulton and step mother to Chike & Amaechi Onyiliogwu.
